Time zone in country (tr-code: STZGC)

Hello.

I ask you about customising "Maintain Geographical Assignments" (tr-code: STZGC); Time zone in country.

This assignments affect what??

I know this assignment affects Customer/Vender creation.

Is that all??

In our seting,some countries are assigned no value.

In other hand, two time zones are assigned for one country.

(Both "Indicator for Default Time Zone" are checked.

The country has no region.)

Please give me more information.

Hi

Generally the time zone will affect Customer / Vendor . Apart from that , it will affect the while configuring Shipping point,Sales orgn also as time zone can be maintained. Even it will affect . if you maintain in the Route as in Routes time zone for country can be maintained.

Dear Emma S,

As you already know every has its own time zone & it is used for Customer / Vendors for things like Dispatch / Receiving time, etc...

Now in the T-Code STZGC there are three options:

1. Time zones in country

2. Time zones in country/region

3. Generic time zones to postal code

1. Time zones in country: For Country like India, there is a single time zone so we can set it here.

2. Time zones in country/region: For Countries like USA there are different time zones based on region. Thus you can set the Region-wise Time zone here. Now here if you want to set the time zone of particular region as Default for the entire country then you have the option to do so by putting tick mark in indicator.

3. Generic time zones to postal code: here you can set time zones accorting for Country'sd postal codes.

Thus in option 1 (Time zones in country) for Country like India you can set the the default Indicator here & there is no need to set region-wise time-zones.

But for Countries loike USA, you can set a generic time-zone in option 1 (Time zones in country) & dont set the default indicator. Then mention Region-wise time-zones in option 2 (Time zones in country/region). Here if required you can set any particular regions time-zone as default for Country.
