not able to view "search for jobs " in ESS

hi ,

i am facing a problem in <b>ESS --> Career and Jobs

-->search for jobs.</b>when i go to "search for jobs" i get a pop up window asking for the "application name" and some other mandatory parameters.

i have already defined the job vacancy in the back end R3 system .

can anyone who has implemented ESS suggest me the possible cause and the solution for the same?

thanks again for responding. i made the required changes. our portal server is placed in a different location hence it cannot be restarted immediately. ill get back to u and inform whether its working fine or not.

if hrrcf_start_int application is run perfectly IN SAP

than above configuration work perfectly.

check this application in se80->bsp application.

i am not able to find hrrcf_start_int under the BSP Applications. is it a sub part of any object name?

without HRRCF_START_INT this BSP application Job search and other iviews under career and job is not working.

in ERP2004 -> se80->Bsp Application->HRRCF_START_INT

if u not found it there.

check sicf->sap->bc->bsp->sap->HRRCF_START_INT

if it's not here also than due to SP level of UR ERP2004 system u can't find it.

upgrade the SAP_HR,ESS_HR SP with help of ur basis guys.

i checked through sicf, that BSP application is not available.

the details of the sp level of our ERP2004 are as follows:

check that whether Erecruit 300 Addon is installed or not

other support package is ok.

check sap note for install add-on of erecruit

good morning..we do not have e recruit 300 addon installed..is this package essential for the "career and job" role ? if so, we'll get it installed..

the SP level of my system and ur system is almost same.

but i have Add-On Erecruit 300 in my system.

since i got the all BSP application which is used in career and Job workset.

find out the document How Erecruit is used in ECC 5.0 system.

i alredy suggest the notes for Erecruit 300 Add on.

after install add-on apply patch for that than

u get those BSP application.

close this forum if further query or problem is there write new thread for that so other people is also helps u.

u got foolowing

com.sap.portal.appintegrator.sap.WebDynpro::WebDynpro/TopLayer

and MandatoryParameters Optional parameters.

do the following in SAP R3.

SPRO->IMG->cross-application components->HOMEPAGE Framework->Resources->define resources->define resources(add entry)

find EMPLOYEE_CANDIDATE_SEARCH_JOBS_SERVICE under resource object key double click to open it.

u found following.

object name --->hrrcf_start_int/application.do

URL parameter -->BspClient=800&rcfLogAppl=SEARCH_JOBS

Now

Under URL Page of PCD.

ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.ess.employee/com.sap.pct.ess.roles/com.sap.pct.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.ess.area_career_job/com.sap.pct.ess.serv_career_job

change it to

ROLES://portal_content/com.sap.pct/every_user/com.sap.pct.ess.employee/com.sap.pct.ess.roles/com.sap.pct.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.ess.employee_self_service/com.sap.pct.ess.area_career_job/com.sap.pct.ess.bsp_career_job

save ur entry. a warning occurs. press enter . relese the request.

restart the J2EE server.

and also make sure u define the BSP system in Portal with alias SAP_BSP_EREC
