Hello,

Good day everyone.

I would like to ask some assistance on this current issue that we have. Some changes on BOM Header Quantity in R/3 are not getting trnasfer to APO. We already scheduled the INIT transfer jobs after all the CIF jobs but still some are not updating on APO.

Kindly advise what should we do to elimanate the issue. Or if there are OSS notesneed to be implemented. Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Wade

Hi Wade,

Please check the following

1) Material (Components, finished products, raw materials etc.,)

master data is fully maintained and transferred to APO before sending

the BoM information

2) All materials have MRP type as XO

3) Ensure BoM usage is maintained

4) Production version data maintained in work scheduling view of

material master alongwith bom details

Hi wade,

I still think you should use Standarad transaction of sending changes at PPM level Tcode-CFP3.

You can try to schdule background job to run everynight.

I think initial transfer will take care of changes at level of production version but not Bom header quantity. During testing I experienced same thing.

Wade,

When you say

all the CIF jobs,

what does that mean? Exactly which programs are you running in these jobs?

When you say

INIT transfer jobs,

what does that mean? Exactly which programs are you running in these jobs?

Hi DB49,

When I say "all the CIF jobs" means after running of program RIMODAC/RIMODDEL/RIMODGEN..

When I say "INIT transfer jobs" means this is the initial transfer jobs with program RIMODINI..

thanks,

Wade,

I can't speak much from experience, because I don't normally try to CIF BOM header changes across to APO. I would be more likely to change the validity date of the old production version, create a new production version, with current validity dates, and then send these changes across. This way I avoid any inconsistancy between a changed PPM and any existing Production orders.

Anyhow, SAP has an FAQ on PPM transfer issues in OSS

https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/448085

There are a boatload of other notes on the subject in OSS, just search on PPM Change.

Hi wade-:

1.Hope you are activating integration model for material with mrp type X0 first.

2. Integration model for workcenter is active.

3. Try running transaction change transfer of PPM(this may help)

4. Use one integration model per object.

Please check and confirm whether this sorts out problem.

Hi Siddharth,

1.Hope you are activating integration model for material with mrp type X0 first.

- this is correct.

2. Integration model for workcenter is active.

-active as confirmed on my first post

3. Try running transaction change transfer of PPM(this may help)

-yes this may solve the issue but this should not be manual run..Imagine when you update bom in r/3 you have to run manually everyday basis?? the chnages should be capture on the INIT transfer job. This is what we are doing now, manually

4. Use one integration model per object.

-yes.

thanks.

Additionally, the issue are not all the materials, but few of them are not getting transfered to APO.
