For upgrading the software, please refer the following steps:
If you are upgrading to version 3.1, you can do so from versions 2.0 and higher. It is recommended that you back up any previous customizations, the Autonomy IDOL Server, and Vignette and the uPerform server software. In addition, it is recommended that you conduct the upgrade during a time when the uPerform server is not being used (for example, during a weekend).
During an upgrade, note that only those controls or fields that require user input are enabled.
Upgrading the uPerform Software
1. Log into the application server.
2. Locate the installation files on your computer.
3. Double-click on uPerform_Server_Installation.exe to launch the upgrade.
4. If prompted, click Run.
5. Install the Unicode fix for the SQL server.
6. Then after completing these steps, you shall a stage where you need to enter "Select the Upgrade radio button"
