Hi All:
Could you pl. help me with the following questions? A business group in my company is trying to adopt APO - DP. these questions are from them,.
- Flexibility of gathering demand
- Ease of use (what IT skill level is necessary?)
- How hard is it to launch (resource/time)
- Critical Success Factors
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ryan,
1) Flexibility of gathering demand
APO DP has got the capabilitiy to aggregate or disaggregate demand.
It has great potential to plan demand based on the desired hierarchy level
It has got potential to plan based on past history and uses as demand
It has powerful statistical tools to exactly predict the demand based on
trend values, forecasting methods, seasonal and promotional values.
2) Ease of use (what IT skill level is necessary?)
User friendly & interactively in usage in which many users can login
at the sametime and make changes.
3) How hard is it to launch (resource/time)
It takes about minimum 6 to 1 year for a good implementation.
Number of resources can be minimum 3 to maximum as per the nature
& requirement of business.
4) Critical Success Factors
Key performance indicators as per business are the benchmark.
Reduction in inventory, increased profit, Forecasting time reduction,
Increased forecasting accuracy, etc.,
