SRM CONFIRMATION

Hi,

While creating the confirmation in SAP SRM 5.0 we are getting the error as below:

the use of last 5 characters in the field name2 is restricted (39 of 40)

Please advise.

Hi,

Please check whether it is an error or a warning message. If its a warning, you can proceed to create the confirmation.

Usually this message is fired because the address data can only be transferred with 35 characters (search term 1 only 10 characters) in the case of some ALE message types (IDOC types)forreasonsofcompatibilitywith other releases and components.
