Hi
*In what base it is differentiating WH with vendor but not for store? answer is SITE PROFILE
WH with vendor means distribution center in IS retail and this is picked by the system based on the site profile what we give while creating a site in WB01
Distribution center will be a vendor and customer as it is vendor for its internal stores and a customerfor external vendors
Stores will only be a customer ( customer to DC)
For easy understanding in WB03 if you view a site if both vendor and customer tabs are there then it is a DC
If only a customer tab is there then it is a store
So any site will be a customer always
If only customer tab is there in a site master then it is a store
and additionally if a vendor tab also is there in a site master then you can conclude it is DC
IMG-LOGISTICS GENERAL-plant master -
control data----site profiles
Here for your site profile you will give assign the account group
For a DC you will assign both vendor and customer account groups
For stores you will only customer account groups
The account groups are defined in OBD2 for customer and OBD3 for vendor respectively
Number ranges are defined in XDN1 for customer and XKN1 for vendor respectively
Number ranges are assigned OBAR for customer and OBAS for vendor respectively

Hi
then what is for Number Ranges, Layout in the same path of LG-> Control Data-
I dont know the answer for this
As far as my knowledge is concerned the site numbers are always external
In all major Retail implementations site numbers are always maintained as external
and the number ranges are defined in XDN1 for customer account group and XKN1 for vendor account group say Z1 between 0001 to 9999 as external ticked in both areas
This Z1 is assigned for your customer account group in OBAR and vendor account group OBAS in both areas and this account group is assigned to your site profile in the area i mentioned above
So when we create site based on this we give external number range between 0001 to 9999 and create
Internal number range is also possible which you can test it and accrding to me it may create some complications or trouble
Regards
Raja
