Portal error - new implementation

Hi Forum Guru's,

We have just completed a new installation of PC, RM 3.0 and Netweaver portal.

When we select the PC tab from within Portal, we get the following error ,

Portal Runtime error, an exception occurred while processing your request.

Has anybody come accross this error before?

Also, when accessing the IMG, I don't see any line items for GRC Process Control and GRC Risk Management.

Any feedback would be highly appreciated.

Hi all,

We just had a portal specialist look at our configuration and it appears that our basis installation is corrupted and

not 100% complete hence the errors.

We will start tonight to fix up the basis installation and will advise the outcome.

The error message is very generic. You should lookup the JAVA logs via the Visual Admin or http://host:port/nwa / Change & Analysis/Debug. Than post the specific error here in the forum

as Nesimi wrote it would be good to have the exact exception that occured - from the Visual Admin or NWA logs...

Regarding the IMG: what do you mean you do not see any PC/RM line items?

You do not see the PC/RM customizing at all?

Did you install the GRCFND_A ABAP add-on and performed a client copy from client 000 to your target PC/RM client?

You do not see the PC/RM customizing at all? - Yes, from the IMG, we cannot customize PC or RM.

Did you install the GRCFND_A ABAP add-on and performed a client copy from client 000 to your target PC/RM client? - Yes, Confirmed, this has been done.

Please advise. Will try and obtain the logs if you advise how to.

http://hostname:5<instance>00/nwa --> Analysis --> Debug --> Logs --> Select View Defaulttrace, and search here for the timestamp where the error occured
