Can we send & recieve E-maill from our SAP demo server

I want to know that can we send & recieve mail from our SAP Demo server or ides server ecc 6.0.If yes then how could we make it possible.

Please tell me the way & please do reply.

Hi,

DO setting at SCOT t-code then what modifications you have done at SCOT. you must maintain at SU01 t-code there you will find Email, there u must give the mail so that you can send Mails by using SAP or u can send mails from Internet Ex through to SAP R/3....

I have made the settings in scot but it is asking for An abap program may i know what is it

Hi Vishal,

you can use SCOT for Email configuration , maintain your exchange server IP in SMTP connection mail host. ensure that mail relay settings should be allowed from your server. these settings can be done by Mail Admin from their end.
