New Movement Type

Hi All,

I would like to move a material from blocked to restricted stock and vice versa.But i couldn't find any standard movement type for the same.

So whether creation of a new movement type for the same is the way to solve this problem or is there any other way out there?

If a new movement type is to be created(i cant copy new movment type from any existing since there is no similar movement type available)what all are the things i need to check/follow?What all things has to see in the financial side?

Hi Ebin,

I think u have to check for cross plant goods movement. This includes Grouping, pegging, and distribution (GPD) works in a multi-plant manufacturing environment and as well material master, materials requirement planning (MRP). Follow the link for better idea

Specific to ur requirement, i feel pegging functionalty for logistical relationship may tried out to propose new movement type.
