Transfer between storage locations in PGI

Hi all,

I need to implement the next scenario:

I make the PGI----->Transfer to another Storge location-----> and after all that we transport the material

to the final client.

Do you have any sugetions how to do it?

Hi,

Once you do PGI, then you will not be able do a transfer to other storage location. When you do PGI, the accounting entries are posted debiting the COGS and crediting the inventory.After that how will you transfer the material to other storage location?

Yes I know the problem I have wih the financial document,

because of that I am asking for the sugestions how to do it in diferent way.....

Hi Luis,

The answer is in the question:

The correct process is: Transfer to the final Storage location then PGI => Transport the material

to the final client.

Why do you want to change this (logical) process and have transfer after PGI?

you can use a transfer posting movement type while doing PGI (instead of 601) that wont post the accouting and move the stock to another SLoc and then trigger a background program automatically that will then post the goods issue to book COGS.
