Purchasing SeeBurger adapters

Hello ,

We are in the process of getting a quote for SeeBurger Adapters for our PI7.1 to use it for all EDI B2B communications via AS2 and FTP. Have few questions to ask .

1) If we purchase following SeeBurger adapters

a) Cross Industry Payment Adapter

b) EDIINT AS2

c) Generic EDI Adapter

Does the following include with above adapter purchase

1) All EDI standards (EDIFACT and ANSI X12 ) transactions with versions

2) BIC Mapping workbench Tool

Please advise or any suggestions

BIC mapping designer and workbench is pretty much included in all seeburger licence purchase. however it might be adapter that differ, meaning if you purchase AS2 and splitter you might not get VAN.

Yes, the license I have seen includes BIC with all the mappings of related components purchased.

Hi Girish,

It all depends upon your licensing with them. You will not get edifact and ansi x12 maps by default. You will get only the maps which are mostly used and that too those are standard mappings only. If you need to change anything in standard maps then you have the option to change uisng BIC. Please also check this document for some more information:

Thanks Satish, Sorry still not clear .

If we are only getting standard Maps, Do we need to specifically ask for those . Like we have following EDI transactions in our current set up

ANSI X12 ==> 940,945,861,947,943,944,856,850,855,810, 823

EDIFACT ==> INSDES, DESADV, RETANN, IFTMAN , INVOIC, INVRPT , PAYMUL, BANSTA

Also do we get BIC mapping workbench by default or we have to purchase a different license.

Hi Girish,

You should get all of these from them and mention when you purchase also. If you get the seeburger adatepr the workbench you will automatically get.
