I have copied teh COA and was using it. When I tried to change the GL MAster it asks for Group Account number which seems a mandatoery field and didnt allow me to save.

But originally it was not there . How it was saved ? What is the reason it asks now. Though I have not opted for Consolidattion it asks for Group Chart of account no.

Is this due to Field status ? or due to consolidation

Where do I make change to prevent this error message.

As I ma in the midst of Cash mnagement seek yr advice ASAP.

Hi,

Please check in the transaction code : OB13. Please see in group chart of accounts any chart of accounts entered or not. If any othe chart of account is entered, then that field will become required field at the time of entry or change.

Thanks Lakshmi.it solved my problem and mark of thanks I allotted the credit.

hi,

Group Account number is not in transaction obd4,

so it seems to be dependend on consolidation as you said.

Hi Andreas,

I have ot selected any company for consol ( OBY6).

Alos no where I have opted for Consolidation. No group chart of account. But it seems it is looking for Group COA . I am unable to find quickly where the linkage lies?

Appreciate to get yr idea on this.
