Hi,

I am trying to login to the SMD ( http://hostname:port/smd ) but facing following error.

You do not have sufficient rights to start Solution Manager Diagnostics.

Please contact your administrator to check the permissions on your system

I trying to login with J2EE_ADMIN user. Which extra roles we need to assign to J2EE_ADMIN user so that it will log in to SMD.

WEBADMIN is configured with 'j2EE_ADMIN' user.

Best Regards,

Tushar

Hi Tushar,

This is generic error if the connection JCO is not established.

Please Check whether the RFC WEBADMIN is working.

Also in the Visual Admin->JCO RFC Providers-> WEDADMIN status. If its stopped, Start it with correct user credentials(SMD_RFC).

Or the below roles can help you out.

SAP_SOLMANDIAG_E2E

(Role)

S_SMDIAG_E2E (Profile)

SAP_BI_E2E (Role)

S_SMDIAG_BI (Profile)

Hope this helps,

Revert for any issues.

Thanks,

Jagan

Hello,

We are setting up a diagnostic agent to talk back to Solution Manager.

We noticed the two RFC (WEBADMIN / SOLMANDIG could not connect.

Our solution was to change

In Visual Admin.

Jco RFC Provider => WEBADMIN

1. Ensure password works

2. Changed Bundles Tab (Gateway Host) to actual host name

3. Stop and Restarted WEBADMIN and SOLMANDIAG
