Hi all,
If we setup one solution to contain all our support documentation, and also configure Business Process Monitoring to also run off this solution, is it possible to configure the security authorisations to allow some users access to upload/modify documents attached to the solution, yet restrict them from being able to make configuration changes to the BPM settings?
Thanks,
John
Hi John,
please have a look at SAP note 834534 for role and authorizations with SAP Soluiton Manager. There are several detailed Excel spreadsheets attached.
Basically you would have users who can upload documents within the Solution Directory where you model the processes and for this you have roles like SAP_SOLMAN_DIRECTORY_ADMIN, SAP_SOLMAN_DIRECTORY_EDIT, SAP_SOLMAN_DIRECTORY_DISP.
Then you have the BPMon setup where you use roles like SAP_SETUP_DSWP_BPM or more general SAP_SETUP_DSWP.
More details and single auth. objects are described in the SAP note.
Best Regards
Volker

Hi,
This should be possible, we can allow/restrict by the various authorization objects, but we need to customize the roles.
Some Auth. Objects which can help you are.
D_SOL_VSBL : controls access to the solution landscapes- view,
Please refer to the SAP Solution Manager -Security Guide for more details
