Product in MDM-SRM Catalog

Hi,

We are using MDM SRM Catalog in SRM 7.0

In MDM SRM Catalog, we need to import the product master data into catalog item in MDM SRM Catalog, but product data is not the look-up table, just in catalog item table. It is not like the product group.

So we import one contract data into catalog item, system will update the contract line item data into the product data line in catalog item table. But we import another contract with the same product, system will add new line into catalog item table, but missing the value in "Short Description" and "Product Group" fields. Because in contract inbound XML, there is no Short Description and Product Group, How can we get the vales of Short Description and Product Group?

Do you have any exprience in it? Please share. Thanks
