Hi,
I went through the Linux oss notes and instguides but in our case, we want to install a brand new Linux AS to an existing AIX CI/DB server. Since we use in general JSPM for our kernel upgrades, we try to figure out the best way, on how to setup the executables on the AS. We know we can install it all local, but then when we patch kernel, we need to do this on each AS. Is there a documented way to share via nfs (if it's a homogenous Unix cluster it's quite simple) so when you JSPM and kernel patch, it's all done for the other servers too.
appreciate any feedback or links to documentation that can help me further.
Hi Thomas,
If i understood correctly, you need a NFS mount between your Linux AS and AIX CI/DB server.
In this case you also need to have it as an HA NFS.
But for this you need to consult OS team to check whether the functionality and operation of NFS is same in both Linux and AIX so that you can build a HA NFS between these two.
Even i am quite interested to know whether we can do it. Please post if it can be done.
Cheers.,
Raghu
