setting status type as "archive"

Can you anyone tell me what it means to define a status type of a status to Archive(A) and does that imapact ECM Process?

Hi Suja,

maybe the F1 help for the field 'Status type' could be useful for you:

Archive status (A)

The system sets this status when you choose Archive -> Check into archive.

The system makes the same checks as for status type "O".

If the status cannot be set, the document cannot be archived.

So I think that this status has no great effects on the ECM process.

Does this mean that user will never set an Archive status, but the status will be automatically set when documents are archived?

Hi Lashan,

yes, I think that exactly the way it works. This is a special status type and like the type 'O' this status can be set by the system automatically when it is maintained in the status network of a document type.
