OS : Suse Linux

DB : Max DB (7.7.02.017)

Download the kernel

Stop the SAP system

backup your current kernel

Extract the new kernel

Start the SAP system

Hi,

GO to the service market place the download the kernel for OS : Suse Linux and DB : Max DB (7.7.02.017).

There will be parts of kernel first is DB independent and DB dependent both are required.

Stop the SAP instance on which you are planning to update kernel.

take backup of old kernel files.

uncar the new kernel files and copy it.

start the sap instance and check it.

Hi

Before upgrading the SAP kernel follow prerequisites

Make sure that you use latest SAP CAR version for extracting the latest SAR files from SAP service market place

SAPCAR has been made downloaded compatable for all SAP releases. To unpack the archives, you need atleast SAPCAR 700 or SAPCAR 640 with patch level 4 or higher.
