handling unit in EWM

someone tell me if it is required in the management of handling unit in EWM?

Hi Antonella

Palletization is the process of stacking products (which may or may not be already in boxes that are HUs) on to a pallet.

HUs are required / mandatory in EWM if you want to use Process oriented storage control (which helps in managing complex routing in EWM). However use of HUs otherwise is not mandatory in EMW.

Do you mean storage unit management in warehouse or palletization activity for outbound delivery?

Hi,

It is totally dependent on your business. But if you are palletizing you products in your warehouse, then Handling unit is the only way to go in EWM.
