IR ID username & PW

Greetings,

My basis guy just installed XI in my system and got vanished . now if i use the transaction SXMB_IFR i can go to the start page but when i click on IR or ID i need to give a password to log in . In his absense i will have to do it . PLs let me know the procedures

if you have access to see SU01 (which i doubt) then why worry about login to IR and ID.

I doubt that either your user-id is not configured in SU01...or you have not been intimated of user-id creation.

In absence of both you cant do anything...other than waiting for the basis guy to reappear

If you know the admin user-id and password then login to SAP GUI and check in SU01.

Hi you are correct

i can see that there is nothing in SU01 . i have all the admin rights and now i think i must create a user name and assign roles , am i correct?

pls guide

well yesterday the transaction sxmb_ifr was working fine , but today the explorer page opens and shows this error .. what could it be?

Hi,

Try

uid: SAP*

Password: PASS

Then you can create user in su01

I hope you are working on a development/ training/ sandbox system....if the answer is yes then you can create the user-id in SU01.

Please maintain the naming convention when you create the User-id.....if there is any maintained in your organization.

Yes this is just a training system in our organisation

thanks surajj & salvi for your concern & advice

now i created a user in su01 and gave a password but when i execute su01 i don get the start up page .. instead it shows a error message

500 Internal Server Error

where you able to access the homepage before? (Integration Repository, Integration Directory, Runtime Workbench...were these tags visible)

Yes ofcourse but i did restart my servers using sapmmc

Your JAVA stack seems to have gone down...or the restart resulted in some problem for JAVA stack.

I even restarted the system after shutting it down . still no luck

any suggestions?

Its not very wise to play with authorizations. I hope it is just a Dev system

You may goto transaction SU01, select your user and assign the following roled to it.

SAP_XI_CONFIGURATOR_J2EE and SAP_XI_DEVELOPER_J2EE
