EP server not starting after IP change

Hello,

This is regarding the portal server which is not starting,and the server process is showing stopped. Last night network team changed the IP address of all ABAP and JAVA system in our landscape and due to this since today the portal is not able to start. Our UME datasource is ABAP system which by itself is up and running. But portal server is not able to connect to this backend system.

Pls find the log of Std.server0.out of Portal Development Server

You have to change in the Hosts file mainly, and also check in the config tool, secure store.. here whether the hostname is maintained or IP address, if IP address is maintained change it to Hostname before that change in the hosts file.

Hi,

If ABAP UME is started. Check the JCO connections between the ABAP and JAVA.

1.Check the JCo RFC provider connections in Visual Administrator.

2.Check the following property on configtool

ume.r3.connection.master.ashost property in com.sap.security.core.ume.service service.

3.Also check the hosts entries,where IP adress are encrpted.

Some Questions to troubleshoot.

1. If ur Portal ABAP+JAVA ?? If not where is this ABAP system whr your UME resides ??

2. OS and EP Version ??

3. What changes done after IP change ??
