Hi Experts,

1) How we can know the version of SAP XMII from our system which we are currently using in our system ?

2) How we know the MII interface current status that whether the MII is currently working or not ?

I read different guide related to SAP MII & found that if my MII listener RFC works fine then the status is ok...corrct me if i am wrong.

3) From where we can see the logs of MII interface.

By searching internet what i found that from OS level we can able to found this log.But could anyone please tell me the exact location of these log?

4)Again is it possible for us to see the MII log from SAP level.

Regards,

Jituda

Jituda,

for MII version 12.0.x:

1) when you have logged in to MII as XMII Administrator or XMII Developer, click on Tab Support > About. MII will display the MII version and Built number.

2) depends on what you mean by "MII Interface". A defined Message Listener is running, if you it enabled and the status shows "running". However, if its a listener for SAP IDocs or RFCs, you should also check the connection in SAP with tran SM59. A database connection is running, if the status of the data server is running, and the number of available connections is greater zero.

3)4) Open Netweaver Administrator (http://<server>:<port>/nwa), then choose Monitoring > Logs and Traces. Select one of the predefined views. Usually you will open the SAP Logs.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

For this you have to configure the RFC Destinations in SAP system(through Transaction SM59) from TCP/IP for external sytems.

Establish the connection and test the connection. This is how you can check the staus of MII in SAP. Go through the below links it will guide you how to create RFC destination, configuration.

Common links are as below:

http://<server>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

Look in this table for Software Component entry "sap.com/XMII"

It's quite unlikely that you'll find this on any old application server you are logged into, so for the server and port in the URL above you'll still need to know what server MII 'might' be running on, but you will only find it on a NetWeaver instance with the Java stack.

If this URL works and you find XMII in the table, then the advice above for going to the http://<server>:<port>/XMII/Menu.jsp page will also provide you more info about the present configuration.

Hi,

You can check by entering a url in your browser. URL is: http://<servername>:port no/XMII/Login.jsp.

If you ar able to login through the credentials provided then MII is working fine.

Using http://<server>:<port>/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo i got a network error.

Now where i am able to see the log off this XMII failure.

That URL is a NetWeaver URL and does not mean there is an XMII failure. All of the MII log messages will go into the standard NetWeaver logs which are available from the main index page on the server.

Do you actually know the server name and associated port where MII is installed?

I know the server name but i use 5nn00 as the port.Where nn is the system number. If i am wrong then please let me know from where i got the correct port.

Now i am able to access the OS level of the XMII server & from XMII folder i am able to see the version of the XMII .
