Progress Tab fields as required field

Hello PS Experts,

We do Progress analysis and update the Progress Tab of activity in

CJ20N. One of our business requirement is to make one of the fields in

Progress Tab as required field.Eg. Progress Version.

Is there any way to make this field as required ?

Hi,

Take Help of the ABAPer.

Step1: Tcode SHD0

Step2: Enter: Transaction Code: CJ20N,

Screen Variants Tab

a) Screen variant: ZCJ20N

b) Program: SAPLCNEV_06_DIALOG

c) 200

Step3:Hit F5, Go to the Progress Tab and Later double click on the Progress Version. Another window will pop up, please make the desired fields as required.

Step4: Exit and Save.

Hi Varshal,

Thanks for your input. Does this applicable to only one project or whole CJ20N?

As I mentioned ,my requirement is to make one of the fields in Progress Tab in Activity or Activity Element as required field .

Also I do have different projects. I would like to restrict it for some projects only based on Project profile or network profile

Hi,

Very Good. Is any way to restict this with Network Profile or Project profile.

I don't this happening across all the projects I have.

Hi ,,

I just tried and doesn't seems working for me.

I checked the progress version and measurement method as required field and saved.

Then created new Project too. But the fields under progress tab is still not reuired field.

Hi,

Once you Save and Exit.

Step1: Save the CHNAGE TRANSCATION VARIANT screen and press enter twice. system generate the transport request.

Step2: Run the transcation SHD0 click on the standard variants TAB and click on the activate button.

Hello,

Litle confused here. In the first section you mentioned to create screen variant and second section you are mentioning to change the transaction variant.

Can you please explain me in details. Please.

Hi We can write a validation for making thses fields required using as work around. You can create validation in tcode OPSI and write your own exit for and check the fileds using FM 'CNEV_05_GET_OBJECT_PARAMETERS'. This validation can be assigned to project profile for which this chekc to be applied.

in exit you can check if LT_EVOP is initial then give error message.
