"You dont have permission to access server" error

Hi Folks

I am getting error while accesing the query mode while creating OLAP Query.

I can access the same query through MDXTest in BW system.

Error for the link is

[http://img.imagedash.com/aawE.jpg]

[http://img.imagedash.com/D4Qn.jpg]

And its working properly for other catlog from the same server.

[http://img.imagedash.com/3S7n.jpg]

Any ideas . Any authorization missing in MII or BW .

Hari,

Please check the permission level of the user querying the BW.Go through below link :

Hari,

From the Main xMII Menu, go to Security Services -> Data Access. Select the desired server, and make sure that the role you are in has permission to access this server. If not, add it and save.

Thanks for the reply.

Secuity person is saying that those settings are already in place. I reported him yesterday and that guy did some thing ..that might be what you are saying..

Now i am getting different error..

Now i can get the QueryModes ..but getting error popup in actual query editor...

I gave this link to the BW people but not heard from them ....please check out my reply on Diana's post for updated error i am getting..

Hi Hari,

That's sounds like the error that is being returned to the OLAP connector, and will have to be resolved on the BW side. But you can now see the query modes, so you're making progress!

Hi Diana

It got solved.

The Basis person was not re typed the password after copying from another connection .

When told him start over to create new connection, The password issue surfaced..and after entering pswd, it started working properly .
