Upload Notes to DP planning area

Hi All,

We have requirement of initializing the planning area and then reloading the data by backupcube.

Also notes created/maimtained in the planning books needs to be backed up and loaded back after planning area initialization.

Please let me know the process for downloading and uploading the notes to the planning area.

Hi Shankar Dhangar,

As far as I am aware, the note are stored in a separate table and should not be deleted when you deinitialise the PA.

As long as you keep the characteristic in your POS you should be fine.

Your suggested note was useful.

I did the testing and found that, indeed notes are not effected by the de-initialization and initialization of planning area.

Hi,

The notes cannot be copied from one planning area to another using std SAP txn. You can create a custom program using FM /SAPAPO/MSDP_NOTE_WRITE to write the notes to the planning area which is similar to the source.
