Auto settlement rule creation and validation

Hi,

I have the following requirement and would appreciate assistance in how to resolve.

When users are creating service orders within PM this are sometimes cost assigned to a WBS Element. These then require a settlement rule to be created which allows the costs to post to settle to that WBS. How do i configure so taht a settlement rule will automatically create once service order is created?

Also they may need to change the cost assignment before any costs are allocated, if they do i need a check in place so that the settlement rule WBS matches the new choosen WBS or that it automatically updates.

Hi Jamie,

automatic settlement rule creation is possible if you maintain your settings in Allocation Structure and Settlement profile and in ur equipment organization tab maintain your WBS element number.
