Customer Master Data for Sales Area

Hi, I understand that when a Customer Master Data is area is created in XD01, we need to provide Sales Area data there so that the customer could place orders in that sales area only. Now my requirement is that the customer needs to place orders in different sales areas. So for this do I need to create separate customer master data for all the sales area separately or there is any other way so that a customer can place orders in different sales areas without having multiple master data. Hi,

Once if you create a Customer in the XD01 for a company code and sales area, You can extend the same customer to all the sales areas under that company code

For this you have to goto XD01 and give the Company code and the Sales organisation/Distribton channel/Division in the Reference data and maintain the sales organisation in the above screen to which you want to extend.

The General data will be same for all the Sales areas and so system will popup a message as General data will be same , then it will lead to company code data and sales area data where you can change the data according to your requirement.

Two options are there

1) You can extend to those sales areas via XD01 or

2) Maintain the customer code in VOR1 & VOR2

Hi

This is quite possible. You can extend your customer to all other sales Area. While creating sales order select one from all.

Goto XD01 and enter your customer number and account details, also enter new sales area for which you want to extend.

Say customer 10000 in sales area 1000/01/01 and now you want to extend for 1100/01/01, give account type and 10000 in XD01 along sales area details 1100/01/01.

you can use "common distri chanel" and common division" to combine the master data,

img--.sales and distri >master data>define common distr.channel,define common division

No You dont have to create customer master again for every customer.. You have to extend the customer to different sales area. vd01 put alredy created customers number in the field and fill the new sales area data .. all u have to do then is make necessary changes in the general data.
