Monitoring XI Java Components (e.g. SLD) with GRMG

I have setup GRMG for SLD only to test GRMG monitoring. I see SLD under Heartbeat in CCMS (transaction RZ20). Then I shutdown SLD from SLD Administration web interface expecting that an alert should get triggered. I see alerts but not very consistently. All alerts contain the text 'Heartbeat alert: last measurement value more than 360 seconds old'.

Has anyone used GRMG? Am I missing something? Why don't I see the alerts consistently when I shutdown SLD? Eventually I like to setup autoreaction methods on these alerts so proactive notifications are sent out when a Java component (e.g. SLD) is shut down.

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Thanks Prashanth for providing the documentation.

I have also setup the GRMG heartbeat monitoring on the adapter engine and keep getting alerts, 'Heartbeat alert: last measurement value more than 360 seconds old'.

Hello Amjad-Ali,

This excellent link in SDN , will help you further when you try and setup the Auto reactions for your SLD monitoring.I am able to use the SAP Tutor packages to setup central CCMS monitoring for our Enterprise Portal Systems.
