Capital projects complete process

Dear GURU's

Can you please explain the complete process of Capital projects, please update me the steps how we are handing this projects with transaction codes, Ex. like Budgets, cost planning settlements and how the financial entries will be updating.

Please provide me some Examples for capital projects.

Hi,

Capital Projects are Investment Type of Project where in Asset is created in Integration with Investment Management.

The Main Purpose of Investment Management is for Reporting at Higher Level and Creation of (Asset Under Construction)

Asset Automatically..

Settllement is carried out to post Project Actual Costs on Asset.

You need to create Investment Program and Investment Profile form IM side.

you need to do cost planning through CJ40.

Budgeting using IM34.IM32,IM52

Rest process is same as explanied by Sukhveer

Only Funds Management is not a must, only if you want to track Project Expenses

Dear,

Need to create project profile(OPSA),budget profile(OPS9),planning profile(OPSB),settlement profile,allocation strature.

Make sure that Investment profile is assigned to project profile

Then create strarure WBS element (CJ20N),REL the WBS. An AUC will be created against the WBS because of Investment

profile.

Then Plane cost (CJ40),allocate budget(CJ30),release budget(CJ32).

Activate fund and commitement management.

Do the procrument pocess,PR(ME51N),PO(ME21N),GRN(MIGO),GI(MIGO) with account assignment catagory Q,P

Same for dervice P.Item category D, but service entry sheet and service PR,PO.

Then MIRO vendor invoice.

Down paytment CJ48,

Actual and planned cost will accure in WBS element.

Then finally run the settlement CJ88 by defineing settlement rule to WBS element. and periodic settle actual cost of wbs

element to AUC and finally to asset.
