LinkListExplorer opening new window

Former Member

We are experiencing a problem that when a link on an item in a LinkListExplorer list is clicked, it opens in a new window instead of opening in the Portal window as is specified in the iView. We are using EP6.0SP14.

The LinkListExplorer uses LinkListCollectionRenderer and LinkListRenderer. We can change the setting to open to self in the renderer, and it still opens a new window. It seems that all settings are ignored.

Thanks

Brian Timothy

We have the same problem, do you have a solution yet?

Thanks

We have not yet solved this problem. We have put in an issue with SAP, but they have not returned a solution. Their basic response is that it works the way it is supposed to.

Hello,

I have the opposite problem. I want mine to open in a new window and it opens in the portal content area.

Did you change "Target Window Type" to self ?

I tried changing it to "self". This causes the target to open within the iView.

We need it to open within the entire Portal Content area.

We changed it to "self", no difference, we have tried many things. What version of Portal are you using? We are using SP15.

Hi there,

we had the same issue - I opened an OSS and got following reply :

08.03.2007 - 12:45:49 CET SAP Reply

I have checked from my development colleague and confirmed that

this parameter is not supported currently and development has recently

no plans to support this feature.

I apologize for the inconvenience caused here.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Best Regards

Can you believe this ? I don't, as this parameter has been around since SP12 or so and still there is no official note regarding this issue.

Hello,

we have the same problem since SP 18.

I can change the property "Target Window Type" and it causes some changes. But our customer wants that a click on a document opens a new window and a click on a link opens the target in the same window...

It has worked with SP 17 but not with SP 18...
