Hey,

Currently we are running SAP ( Netweaver 2004 ( BW ) , CRM 4.0 and ECC 5.0 ) on Windows 32 Bit.

My question is can we run SAP with out upgrading on Windows 64 BIT ?

What are the precautions we need to take ?

Thanks

Hi Venkat,

Yes you can run on Windows 32 bit.But then with 32 bit you have the limitations on the memory that it can handle. So better be careful with that. You will have to activate /3GB switch etc.

Hi

Currently you are running SAP ( Netweaver 2004 ( BW ) , CRM 4.0 and ECC 5.0 ) on Windows 32 Bit.

this is supported the both 32 bit and 64 , I am surprise when you implemet why not select a 64 bit .

Please firet step you seen the hardwere 64 bit supported or 32 bit supported if your hardwere supported 64 bit , then you without upgrade you can go 64 bit , this is the fresh installation and restore th old database .

thanks

with regards

you can, but nodoby will recommend to use 32-bit system on Netweaver 7.0 (or 2004s).

Likewise, as of Netweaver 7.00 (SR3 I think), SAP only supports dialog instances running 32-bit. Everything else (ASCS/SCS, central instance, etc.) MUST be on 64-bit.

sorry, but 2004 does not exist, it's either '04 or 2004s (a.k.a. 7.0)

Still, I still recommend 64-bit even if 32 bit is supported.
