SAP XXL list viewer issue

Hi,

we have a pecuiliar issue that when a user exports data from ALV report to an excel sheet,

he gets the message "An XXL list object is exported with "4 lines and 4 columns".

for other users get the message "An XXL list object is exported with 4 lines and 50 columns"

This is the case for a particular user that too in only production system and not in test/dev.

can someone explain why the columns are getting truncated for the first user?

seems to be an issue with the layout of the report
