Data and client relation

Hello,

I wanted to classify the following types of data on the basis of Client dependent and Client Independent (Cross Client)

1. Transactional Data - ?

2. Master Data - ?

3. Customizing Data - Client Dependent (I suppose)

4. Application Data - ?

Hi,

Client dependent Means if you create that data in one client is limited to that client only and it is not accessable in other clients

Like SAP SCRIPTS and STD texts data.

Client Independent means the data if you create in one client that is available in that as well as in other clients

Like SMARTFORMS, All dictionary Objects data and Repository objects data like Programs, Fun modules, tables etc..

Hi ,

In a general view ::

1. Transactional Data - Frequently used data in SAP system

2. Master Data - seldom changed data for example factory calendar

3. Customizing Data - Whatever customizing/development activity we do for particular client known as client customizing data

4. Application Data - HR,APPL...so on mainly data contained in support packs.
