FTP-Upload of IDocs using Business Connector

Hello gurus,

I would like to send purchase orders from SAP MM to one of our vendors in some electronically readable format (e.g. Idoc, XML, EDIFACT) using Business Connector. Our vendor proposed to use FTP-Upload to send the files.

Could someone please point out how to do this?

then you can use IDoc in sender side and do the transformation steps in BS then write is as a XML file

>>File -- BC -- SAP MM (since file upload)

Read the file in BC and do transformation and post it as IDoc to SAP MM

To connect Idocs with BC, there exists a mechanism to setup routing rules from SAP -> BC or BC -> SAP. This will help you connecting to SAP system. For communication with FTP, you may use the standard FTP flow service provided in WmPublic package. The scenario configuration could also be seen the BC adapter guide.

If you have BC developer installed on your own machine, then in the Installation Folder, you will find BC adapter guide. At the end of this guide you may see the similar scenario step by step.
