Hi,

PI 7.1 is core entity for ESOA Framework. To deal with Heterogeneous ESOA landscase PI 7.1 serve as an ESB (Enterprise service bus).

If you refer the ESOA Architecture/framework, it will clarify the significance of PI7.1

Also search the various blogs/discussions available on SDn, that could also help you.

Refer some good videos.

Hi Ramesh,

SOA is a paradigm use to make any application platform independent and one of the ways of acheiving it by making that application as webservices enabled using middle ware or ESBs (to connect applications running on different platforms and bring to the common platform). If the similar concept is applied in your Enterprise and make all your Business applications available for anybody as services irrespective of the platform the user is working on we call it EnterpriseSOA.PI7.1 is based on that similar concept. check in SOA forum also for the ESOA concepts.

Plese refer the following link for more on ESOA.

Thanks,

Ram.
