posting only possible..................

hi gurus,

i m mohit when ui m doing *********migo********* with ref to a purchase order the system is showing the message that

posting is only possible in period 2009/.09 to 200/08

it should not show this message as it is the curent priod only.

i've checked obbo.obbp,and ob52

posting period variant is cd01,

i've maintained cd01 + in ob52 and assigned it to the comapny codes

please guide asap

Hi,

Go to OB37 and check which fiscal year variant is assigned to your company code.

Then go to OB29, over here you can find out from which month your fiscal year is starting.

After checking this calculate your period on which posting can be done.

Now go to MMPV and extend your period over here to the required posting period.

we also encountered a similar situation, as our friend raja singh pointed out. do look at this angle (which is that sometimes the start of the fiscal period is not January, causing some momentary confusion when opening periods) as well as MMRV and MMPV.

Hi,

If you get the POSTING PERIODS error , You have to check two transactions

One from MM perspective and other from FI perspective.

Since you got this issue while doing MIGO you have to check the POSTING PERIODS in MM

Goto Transaction code MMRV and check what is the current posting period for your company code.

Then goto MMPV and open current posting periods if they are not opened.

Hope it will resolve, if not revert back

In some countries the period starts from April, i.e. 01/2009 period is April, 02/2009 is may, and 08/2009 is November and 09/2009 is december

So that may be the reason for your problem. By Mistake you have closed the current period.
