Hi Experts,
I have read alot about PCK and PI on forums, blogs etc..
but im now confused as to what exactly is PCK and how diff is it from PI?
are all features of PI available in PCK?..when do we go fr PCK and PI?
Hi
The main purpose of the PCK (Partner Connectivity Kit) is to enable small partners or subsidiaries to integrate their landscape with the primary business partneru2019s SAP NetWeaver XI landscape. It also know that it is a great tool and, essentially a development environment, for developing and testing modules (and adapters) and testing adapter features and configuration without the need of an XI system at all. This is the case and when leveraged properly, it can be an essential asset to enabling your adapter scenarios. Background Much like the central and de-central Adapter Engine (AE), the PCK is a J2EE based application with the Adapter Framework as its core. Thus it also includes the adapters that come delivered with the AE.

Hi Ravindra,
PCK is just a Adapterset with no Integration engine in it.Its jus used to connect to PI wich is residing in other landscape.ie Suppose if there is companyA that has PI and it wants to integrate its applications with the other companyB Inorder to that Company B as apart of B2B communication with CompanyA . need not go for Entire PI wich it cant afford) . Jus PCK is enough to communicate with XI of company A. At the same time the capabilities are limited for PCK.
Thanks,
Ram.
