saplogon and stopsap hangs

Hi all,

my development subscription runs on Linux with maxdb. It works fine the last 1.5 years. Since last week I cannot logon to the system via saplogon. It hangs with the message "Connecting to system please wait...."

Starting the database and instance with the command startsap is successfully. No error occurred, but in the Log file startdb.log I get the warning that no licence file is located.

Trying to shutdown database and instance with the command stopsap hangs with the message "Checking ADA db Database".

Hi ,

it seems that your kernel level is very old.

Try to update the kernel after that this should work fine.

Is your log file full? Can you check from OS level if any directory is full.

Ok,

it seems that the log file was full. After setting LOG AUTO OVERWRITE ON and restarting the database it works again.
