wincc to MII integration

Hi,

We have wincc system collecting data from PLC.

Is it possible to integrate wincc and MII.

If possible, how?

Hello Cemil,

yes it is possible. We had this implemented at many customers and works extremly good.

Your scenario would be:

WinCC OPC-DA Server -> SAP UDS OPC-DA -> SAP MII

Mostly in the production area the clients are not allowed to open any other application or

have access to the OS system (only SCADA!). In the case of WinCC you can embeded

the WinCC IE-OCX in the WinCC PDL and provide the MII screen. So the security rules

in the production area will not broken. You can also call MII from any WinCC Scripte.

My aim is to get Histrycal data from winCC into MII.

I know with UDS OPC-DA pulls realtime data.

1- Is it possible use UDS OPC-HDA with winCC?

2- Which component must be installed at winCC side?

3- WinCC OPC-DA Server is different server or winCC server?

answer to your questions:

1- Is it possible use UDS OPC-HDA with winCC?

Yes it is possible.

2- Which component must be installed at winCC side?

You need the a additional License ([WinCC/Connectivity Pack|http://www.automation.siemens.com/hmi/html_76/products/software/wincc_optionen/connectivity-pack.htm]) in WinCC for HDA. Also you need to customize it.

3- WinCC OPC-DA Server is different server or winCC server?

WinCC OPC-DA and WinCC OPC-HDA is on the same Server
