Hi,
We need to perform a client copy from our production system to our development system. We are creating a new client that the end users want so they can be better prepared for some new companies being added to the system. Specifically they wanted all the master data and transaction data from production.
The users requested that we move all configuration done in dev to this new dev client that had not been moved to production before the client copy. What is the best way to get this done? Is this a reasonable request? Currently there are many transports in the development client that have not been released so determiining what to move is a huge undertaking. Any suggestions.
Thanks,
K. Thornton
Hi,
Before doing the remote client first please release the all transport in the development. have discussion with your functional guys who created the requests and Abper's. It is required then release the request or if not delete.

First of all before going for client copy she that your both Dev and Prd are at same patch level.
Now you can perform the client export from production and import it in dev in new client.
After thet you need to go with SCC1 and locally copy the configuration thet is through transport request as you have desided to take it to production and then can ask user to test it.
