Hi,

After our successful implementation of Netweaver7.0, Enterprise portal 7.0, Process Integration 7.0, Business Intelligence 7.0 and ECC6.0, we are planned to implement SRM7.0 with our existing Net weaver landscape version 7.0 by easy adaptation method. As of now we have completed the below installation activity completely.

1) SRM ABAP stack installed separately for SRM ( Host Name: TUSLEXSAX01)
2) SRM ABAP stack installed separately for SRM SUS (Host Name: TUSLEXUAX01)

Since we already have existing Java systems with version 7.0 so we have implemented Business objects of SRM and SUS in Enterprise portal system (Host Name: TUSLEXEPX01), hence we skipped the SRM JAVA Stack installation. Also we followed post installation steps as mentioned in the installation guide, and our functional consultant start working on their functional activities.

Now we have installed MDM version 7.1.01.78 version ( MDS, MDIS on Win64 and Data manager, import manager & Console on Win32) on separate host (TUSLEXMDX01) and separate box for MDM alone. We have not installed Net weaver As Java Stack in MDM server host, instead of that we are decided to use our EP system (TUSLEXEPX01) for SRM MDM Catalog 3.0, so the following components are installed in EP system

1) MDM JAVA AP1 (On Build 7.1.01.78)
2) MDM WEB SERVICES (On Build 7.1.01.78)
3) MDM WEB UI (On Build 7.1.01.78)
4) BP MDM APP (On Build 7.1.01.78)
5) BP MDM TECH (On Build 7.1.01.78)
6) BP SRM MDM
7) SRM MDM CAT 3.0 SP03 Patch 5

After successful installation of these MDM related components in to Enterprise portal system, we have performed the Post-Installation Steps for SAP Net Weaver MDM Components for the SRM-MDM Catalog. We called the below mentioned URL to check the SRM MDM Catalog Utility that the connection between the SRM-MDM Catalog Search UI and the SRM-MDM Catalog repository on the MDM Server can be established, as per the SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 component installation guide.

http://<your AS Java host>:<your AS java httpport>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcmdmsrmcat~uiutil/Utilities
For As Java host we gave EP system host name and port number

http://tuslexepx01:51000/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcmdmsrmcatuiutil/Utilities we clicked the connecction test option to check the connection, gave the input MDM server host name TUSLEXMDX01 and port number 4000, finally connection test was successful.

Before doing this connection test step, we have already created repository successfully and steps followed the SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 component installation guide.

We would like to know whether we are implementing SRM MDM in correct way, also we would like to still what all are the steps we need to perform like

1) Configuring MDM JAVA API

2) Security activity, workspace creation Roles and Authorization for SRM MDM Catalog users

3) Integration Part between PI and MDM (We already installed SRM MDM Catalog 3.0 component & SRM component for PI option )

4) Integration part between MDM and SRM (ABAP System)

5) TREX with MDM ( We already installed and established the connection between TREX server and SRM ABAP system)

Also if any other part we missed, so that we can complete the whole SRM implementation activity. Kindly give us your suggestions to complete for the same. Thanks in advance.

Thanks and Regards
