Hi Experts,
Please any body light up on below issue.
If there is stock of the materials required to make Z i.e. X and Y Components, the availability check should report a fixed number of days to assembly, i.e. 2.
· If there us insufficient stock of the materials required to make Z, the availability check should report the longest lead time for the material which is short plus the a fixed number of days to assembly, i.e. 2.
is it possibe in SAP?

True ,Try with Total replenishment lead time in Material Master MRP3 view and AMintain for bot components and Higher level Item .

This is infact standard functionality. For example If Z is made up of two components X and Y and Componenet X takes 5 days of production time and component Y takes 3 days of Production time and 2 Days is for assembly then the Z's availability Lead time will be 5 + 2 = 7 days only.
