can't open shared memory administration(rc=3)

Hi

My server is CE7.1 + RHEL 5

now , when i go to /usr/sap/<SID>/profile

I use jcmon pf=<SID>_J00_<My host>

I wanna to check my server to 20 Local Administration menu

It will report a error ==> can't open shared memory administration(rc=3)

when i using http://server:50013/sapmc

to check SAP Management Console , and no sap systems appear

I have check the other thread with same topic , but does not work for me follow their answer

because my netweaver is CE7.1 ????

i check the log dev_jcontrol, and it have a error message :

the other log did not post error for me .

i have tried jcontrol -c , did not work

I increase my vm parameter maxPermSize to 1024 , did not work

any suggestion ?

Hi,

Please stop sap and restart your sever.

Please go through the following notes

Note 1303953 - SAP JVM memory parameters and their names in the Config Tool

Note 723909 - Java VM settings for J2EE 6.40/7.0

Now I know

on CE7.1 jcmon(has been deprecated) can not use locale administration

so it wo'nt work to change java maxHeapSize etc.

I use sap system management console to check

my j2ee engine

and it is running

Please follow the above note and change the Xms parameter to 2048.
