Deterioration in V_V2

What is the significance of the button Deterioration in tcode V_V2.

I already referred the below thread wherein the program SDV03V02 have been discussed excellently but there is no reference for Deterioration

Hi,

The Buttons Detoriation or Improvements will tell you the Availability Chek Status after the transaction V_V2 ( or Prog SDV03V02 ) is run.

for ex. you originally had a sitution like this

you Created two sales Orders for which the stock is not confirmed as there is no stock and No RLT .

SO date Qty RDD ATP Status

1 315 4/8/2009 5 4/8/2009 Un Confirmed

2 316 4/8/2009 5 4/8/2009 Un Confirmed

Now you created a Purchase order for the material for 10 qty and expecting to receive the shipment which is greater than RDD.

now if you run V_V2 then the sales order line items are confirmed with new date .

This is no change in the atp. status

now if there is a change in the vendor purchase order and he only gave you 3 items and the rest are expected to come much later.

now if you run v_v2 again, the situation is detoriated now.

that is after the transaction v_v2 is run and if the availability dates of a material are going much farther than expected then the situation is detoriated and similarly after the transaction v_v2 is run if the availability dates come closer than original because of change in the stock then the situation is improvement.
