Need to filter the data dynamically in an ALV view in Web dynpro component?

Hello Gurus,

I need to fiter the values in an ALV list based on an field dynamically....Is there any option through portal?

can we do it in the backend...if so how ?

The "Select Option" is the button after clicking in the standard form "ISR_MSSRCF_SRQ3" need to pop only the Vacant positions

please suggest your views.

Presently standard is retriving the entire records under the manager ie even in the non-vacant positions (its a field in the ALV list)

now i need show only the vacant positions on the ALV list for this i can do it in two ways:

1.Filter the data in the back end where it is filling up the final internal table in the webdnpro popup

2.Filter the rows where we have the vacancy from(field in the ALV list) needs to be filtered dynamically.

any idea how to filter the data dynamically ... or through portal.....which again doesn't give option to filter to user...

pls post for furthure clarifications on my query..
