I have a clarification to make.
In SLCM for reports the data flow through BW or through ECC 6.0?
Do we need BW for SLCM implementation?

Ravi, the SLCM transactional data is on the ERP side, as in every module. In SLCM most of that data is stored into the PD framework. You can use BW as a Business Intelligence or reporting tool to extract that data using the standard extractors and reports, or building your own ones. If you don't want to use BW, you can use other SAP tools to develop custom reports, or any other Business Intelligence Solution. It's not mandatory to implement BW with SLCM.

Hi Ravi,
SLcM inherently has a few reports as standard(no BW).Ideally they would meet requirements of the client. However experience shows that it may not be the case.
You have two options in this scenario:
1) Create customised reports using ABAP (without implementing BW)
2) Implement BW.
Both options involve a cost.Depending on the cost-benefit ratio you choose the relevant option.
Thus SLcM is independent of BW .However BW (related to modules in SLcM) is dependent on SLcM as 'data' required by BW to process and give out 'information' resides in the SLcM box.
