We just upgraded our ECC system with an enhancement package. Can you guide me in how to test the system from security point of view, other than checking if normal user, role manipulation works fine.

Hi,

SAP provide [Impact analyzer|http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/fe/c97c8f88754f9e9265bd4520b22970/frameset.htm] for identifying which roles and users will be affected by new functionality from enhancement package.

Thanks Martin, hadn't seen that yet.

Note that it relates specifically to the enhancement concept and only if the change (not sure whether we are still allowed to use this word... is activated as a business function. What is also cool about activating enhancements as business functions is that you can very easily deactivate the enhancement again - to test the standard system and the roles to use it, to determine whether or not it is the enhancement which is causing a problem.
