Hi,
I have followed the steps for alert configuration.
When the error is created, I can see the message in Alert inbox. When i put '*' in the Sender Service field, name of the Sender service is always the same for all services.
If I specify the sender service, i dont get any message in the Alert inbox.

Are you getting Alerts when you specify * in sender service?

do u mean alert is picking same sender service though it is different at runtime
If so, confirm your container for sender service in alert category in ALRTCATDEF
it should be SXMS_FROM_SERVICE
