NWDI - JDK 1.4 or 1.5?

Hi gurus

We have an NWDI 7.01 system and we want to use it to manage the developments for two separate systems:

- SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.01

- SAP Composition Environment 7.1

According to the "How to configure a development track for CE" document, you need to define a JDK 1.5 in the CBS properties.

The NWDI system has currently a JDK 1.4 and the Portal has the same version.

Do we need to go ahead with the upgrade to JDK 1.5 in NWDI? What would be the impact in the Portal 7.01?

Hi

We resolved setting JDK 1.5 as the home version and defining build variables in the track for SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.01 to use JDK 1.4.
